Dear in the headlights.

Call me old fashioned, but I already miss my "snail mail" newsletters. But as my kids tell me (usually accompanied by some serious eye rolling) "Mooom... you are so lame". I think, or I hope they were referring to technology.

So here I am! You CAN teach an old dog new tricks! This is my first blog post, and time willing – it won't be my last.

I hope to keep you informed about new listings, decorating tips, shoe sales, things that inspire me, and whatever else comes to mind. I'll try not to bore you with endless cute kid photos, or what I ate for breakfast.

I'm also on twitter at @meghan_laing and once I figure out how that works, I hope to put into 140 characters or less, what normally spills out naturally (and at great length) over a martini or two.

So please bear with me... and welcome to my world.
