Not only is Halifax beautiful from the water, it made me wonder why anyone would want to live anywhere else.
While the kids scrambled around on the boat, I sat and daydreamed about someday owning a property where I could hang a starfish on the wall and call it "decorating". Cottage living is Nova Scotia and a girl has to have a dream!
In the meantime, you can turn any room into your own seaside oasis with a little imagination. You don't have to go overboard... a simple signal flag on a white wall would do the trick. Our local antique stores and flea markets are full of great finds.
In fact, I have an amazing home at 7 Rockwood just begging for a little navy blue and white theme in the living room.
